Which format should I choose?
JPG is the safest for photos. PNG keeps every detail and transparency. WebP is small and works almost everywhere. AVIF is smallest, but older apps cannot open it.
Can it open iPhone HEIC photos?
Not in most browsers yet. On an iPhone, set Camera to “Most Compatible”, or export the photo as JPG first.
What about animated GIFs?
Only the first frame is used.
